The story
A mother raising her daughter in her childhood home finds she can travel into The Further, a purgatorial realm of lost souls. She soon realizes she can not only enter this realm but also bring its inhabitants back to the real world.
Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, with Lin Shaye reprising her role as Elise Rainier. The film is directed by Jacob Chase, who also wrote the screenplay alongside David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
Insidious: Out of the Further opens in theaters on August 21, 2026. The film is produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan, and Leigh Whannell.
