Enterprise administrators moving workloads to Atlassian Cloud often face concerns about losing visibility into site performance and reliability. Atlassian addresses this by introducing System Health, a suite of tools designed to provide admins with real-time insights into their environments, including performance metrics and configuration details. The tools aim to dispel the assumption that cloud adoption requires relinquishing control, instead empowering teams to monitor and optimize their instances independently.

System Health operates under Atlassian’s Shared Responsibility Model, where Atlassian manages the underlying infrastructure while customers retain control over configurations that impact performance. Incident Insights, part of System Health, offers a unified view of potential and active incidents across all core apps, enabling admins to detect issues before users are affected. This tool replaces manual monitoring and reactive incident responses with automated, site-specific alerts powered by telemetry.

Performance Insights, available in open beta for Cloud Enterprise customers, provides end-to-end visibility into load times and identifies contributing factors such as data volume or configuration complexity. Unlike traditional troubleshooting, it offers actionable recommendations and self-service data management tools, allowing admins to address issues directly. Rovo-powered diagnostics further automate monitoring and highlight high-impact optimizations, reducing dependency on support tickets.

Atlassian also publishes benchmarks and limits to define what constitutes a 'healthy' environment, ensuring both Atlassian and customers align on performance expectations. System Health is part of a broader investment in enterprise cloud trust, alongside data residency, compliance, and security. Incident Insights is now available in Atlassian Administration, while Performance Insights is accessible to Cloud Enterprise customers in open beta.
