Darktrace has confirmed that its internal systems remain secure following claims by the LockBit cyber-criminal gang that it had compromised the company’s security infrastructure. The company stated that its security teams conducted a full review and found no evidence of a breach, with all customer services operating normally. Darktrace emphasized that no compromised data was linked to the LockBit posts and that monitoring would continue closely. The investigation remains ongoing, but the company expressed confidence in the integrity of its systems and customer data protection.
Darktrace announced the completion of an IRAP assessment for its Darktrace / NETWORK and Darktrace / OT platforms against the Australian government’s ISM PROTECTED-level controls. Conducted by an ASD-endorsed assessor, the assessment provides independent validation for Australian government agencies and regulated industries. The evaluation supports their security, governance, and risk-management requirements, enabling informed adoption of Darktrace’s Adaptive AI capabilities. This milestone follows Darktrace’s FedRAMP High Authorization in the United States, reinforcing its compliance with rigorous public-sector security standards.
Kiranraj Govindaraj, Key Account Director at Darktrace, highlighted the challenges faced by Australian government and defense organizations as they modernize while managing increasing security risks. He noted that the IRAP assessment against ISM PROTECTED-level allows these institutions to adopt Darktrace’s behavioral security approach with confidence.
