Johnson & Johnson reports Q2 2026 results, raises 2026 outlook
Johnson & Johnson reported Q2 2026 sales exceeding $25 billion and raised its full-year revenue guidance above $100 billion, marking the company’s first annual revenue target surpassing that threshold in its 140-year history.
The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.
Johnson & Johnson announced second-quarter 2026 results, with global operational sales reaching $25.3 billion, up 6.8% excluding currency effects. CEO Joaquin Duato highlighted strong performance across Innovative Medicine and MedTech segments, attributing growth to key products such as DARZALEX and CARVYKTI in oncology, TREMFYA in immunology, and wound closure products in MedTech. The company also noted declines in STELARA and REMICADE due to market dynamics and patent expirations. Guidance for 2026 was raised to reflect confidence in meeting the $100 billion annual revenue target for the first time.
Innovative Medicine sales grew 6.8% year-over-year, driven by oncology treatments DARZALEX, CARVYKTI, TECVAYLI, and RYBREVANT/LAZCLUZE, as well as immunology drug TREMFYA and neuroscience product SPRAVATO. Offsetting this growth were declines in STELARA (760 basis points impact) and REMICADE in immunology, alongside oncology drugs IMBRUVICA and ZYTIGA. MedTech sales rose 3.6%, led by wound closure, biosurgery, electrophysiology, and trauma products, though net acquisitions and divestitures slightly reduced overall growth.
The company’s full-year 2026 guidance excludes GAAP measures due to uncertainties in legal proceedings, acquisition expenses, and fair value adjustments. Non-GAAP metrics, such as adjusted operational sales and earnings, were provided to offer clearer performance insights. Currency fluctuations and acquisition impacts were excluded from operational sales calculations, with illustrative exchange rates used for context. Investors were directed to SEC filings and the company’s website for detailed reconciliations and supplementary data.
