Idira Identity Security Platform Reaches FedRAMP High Milestone

Palo Alto Networks announced that its Idira Identity Security Platform has achieved FedRAMP High authorization, the most stringent cloud security designation under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program. This certification allows federal agencies to deploy a pre-approved, SaaS-delivered solution for privileged access management and identity governance, reducing the time and resources required to obtain Authorization to Operate (ATO). The platform is now authorized to safeguard the U.S. government’s most sensitive unclassified data, aligning with Executive Order 14028’s Zero Trust security mandates.
The FedRAMP High designation requires compliance with over 400 security controls based on the NIST SP 800-53 framework, ensuring robust protection against advanced threats. The Idira Identity Security Platform integrates privileged access management with workforce identity solutions, offering a unified, cloud-native approach to replace legacy, siloed tools. This streamlines identity security across human, machine, and AI accounts, addressing the federal government’s evolving cybersecurity needs.
Federal agencies can now leverage the Idira platform to accelerate their transition to Zero Trust architectures by inheriting pre-validated security controls.
