Finalmouse, a niche mouse manufacturer, claims its new Starlight X gaming mouse features the fastest click latency of any device tested, including Logitech’s G Pro X2 Superstrike. The company attributes this to a proprietary TMR DS analogue click architecture, which it states reduces latency to 2.0 milliseconds—faster than any other gaming mouse or consumer electronic device measured by Finalmouse.

The Starlight X’s performance was evaluated using Finalmouse’s XLat tester and a custom machine designed to simulate human button presses. Unlike previous tests that measured only electrical switch closure, Finalmouse now tracks total latency from the start of a button press to data packet receipt. This end-to-end approach includes both mechanical actuation and signal transmission.

In comparative tests against the Superstrike, Razer Viper V4 Pro, and Endgame Gear OP1 8K V2, the Starlight X averaged 50 clicks per mouse. Additionally, pre-production samples suggest long shipping delays, with some reports indicating waits measured in months rather than days.
