Samsung Electronics introduced the Galaxy S26 FE, the newest member of the Galaxy S26 family and the first to launch with One UI 9. The device emphasizes camera improvements and context-aware Galaxy AI features, including My FanCam, which automatically tracks a selected person in videos, and enhanced image processing for both still and moving scenes. The announcement was made in Seoul on August 27, 2026, positioning the FE model as a more accessible entry point to flagship Galaxy experiences.
The Galaxy S26 FE includes a 12 MP front camera for wider group selfies and an upgraded triple rear camera system. Galaxy AI tools such as Now Brief and Now Nudge have been updated to simplify daily tasks by adapting to user routines and turning insights into actions. The device also offers a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, long battery life, and improved Smart Switch for easier data transfer between devices, including iOS and Android.
Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office at Samsung Electronics, stated that the Galaxy S26 FE is designed to deliver meaningful features that enhance daily life. The device is built around user priorities, offering a thin and light design while maintaining flagship-level camera and AI capabilities powered by One UI 9.
The Galaxy S26 FE will be available starting September 4, 2026, in select markets in three colors: Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio. Samsung confirmed that the device will receive long-term software updates and Samsung Care+ support, providing added confidence for users over time.
