Meow, a financial services company, now allows AI agents to establish a company and open a business bank account through a single prompt, streamlining onboarding for businesses. The process, accessible via an MCP endpoint in platforms like Claude and ChatGPT, combines company formation and account application into one workflow, pending standard compliance approval. Meow’s CEO Brandon Arvanaghi describes this as agentic-assisted onboarding, where agents handle document retrieval and form completion while accounts remain under individual or entity ownership due to regulatory constraints.
Meow’s business accounts integrate both traditional banking infrastructure and digital assets, supporting Fedwire, ACH, Swift, USDC, USDT, SOL, ETH, and Bitcoin. Arvanaghi emphasizes stablecoins’ role in cross-border payments, creator payouts, and microtransactions rather than everyday US purchases, citing consumer preference for cash back. The company positions itself as a bridge between legacy finance and agent-driven financial services, offering APIs and MCP endpoints for tasks like issuing corporate cards and auditing spending.
The broader financial ecosystem is rapidly developing agent-payment rails, with Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, and MoonPay introducing similar capabilities within months of each other. Morgan Stanley projects agentic commerce could reach $385 billion in US e-commerce by 2030, reflecting growing institutional interest. Meow’s infrastructure enables agents to move money, issue cards, and manage transactions programmatically, reducing the need for direct user logins to banking platforms.
Arvanaghi anticipates agents will intensify competition in financial services by continuously comparing providers and terms, pressuring margins. Payment protocols on Solana, such as the Solana Foundation’s pay.sh, are building agent-payment gateways that allow microtransactions without requiring a user key or account. Meow focuses on the account layer while these protocols facilitate agent-driven payments, signaling a shift from traditional user interfaces to autonomous financial workflows.
