Solvay introduces Solsys® Care Max to help detergents deliver powerful cleaning in cold and quick wash cycles

Solvay has introduced Solsys® Care Max, a new laundry performance solution aimed at helping detergent formulators meet consumer preferences for faster, lower-temperature washes without sacrificing cleaning results. The product targets households seeking to reduce energy use and utility costs by adopting cold and quick wash programs, which can otherwise compromise stain and grease removal. Internal research indicates formulations with Solsys® Care Max enhance cleaning performance even at temperatures as low as 4°C and in wash cycles as short as 15 minutes.

The solution is designed to maintain strong grease-cleaning effectiveness and fabric appearance over multiple washes, supporting garment longevity and consistent laundry quality. By enabling effective cleaning in energy-efficient cycles, Solsys® Care Max allows detergent manufacturers to align products with modern consumer habits and sustainability goals. The innovation addresses the environmental impact of laundry, one of the largest contributors to energy consumption in household cleaning.

Solvay will present Solsys® Care Max at the SEPAWA Congress 2026, demonstrating how detergent producers can leverage the solution to adapt to evolving laundry care trends.
