Four Aliens Charged With Election Fraud
The U.S. Department of Justice charged four noncitizens, including two illegal aliens, with election-related crimes, alleging fraudulent voter registration and unlawful voting in multiple elections.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania announced federal charges against four noncitizens for alleged election fraud, including two illegal aliens. U.S. Attorney David Metcalf emphasized that the nation’s sovereignty belongs to American citizens and warned that illegal voting undermines democratic integrity. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Philadelphia collaborated on the case, with Special Agent in Charge Nathan Abel stating that unlawful ballots diminish public confidence in elections.
Cliff Sanon, 39, an illegal alien from Haiti residing in Philadelphia, faces one count of submitting a fraudulent voter registration application in February 2026 for the May 2026 primary election. The complaint alleges he submitted eight fraudulent registrations and voted in the November 2022 election. If convicted, he could receive up to five years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and supervised release.
Dilea Ochoa-Perez, 43, an illegal alien from Mexico living in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, was charged with two counts of voting as an alien in the November 2022 and November 2024 general elections in Chester County. Prosecutors allege she voted despite being a Mexican citizen at the time. Conviction could result in up to two years in prison, a $200,000 fine, and supervised release.
Two lawful permanent residents, Sade Guppy (37, from Trinidad & Tobago) and Eduardo Gallardo Maldonado (66, from Mexico), were charged with voting as aliens in Philadelphia County during the November 2022 and November 2024 general elections, respectively. Each faces up to one year in prison, a $100,000 fine, and supervised release if convicted. The charges were investigated by Homeland Security Investigations.
