Acer Listed on 2026 Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index
Acer has been included in the 2026 Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index for the second time, recognized among four firms in its industry for sustainability leadership.

Acer Inc. announced its inclusion in the 2026 Dow Jones Best-in-Class (DJBIC) World Index, a ranking of global sustainability leaders identified by S&P Global. The company achieved full marks in Transparency & Reporting, Policy Influence, Energy, and Customer Relationship Management, placing it among the top 10% of the largest 2,500 companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index. This marks Acer’s second appearance in the DJBIC World Index and its selection among only four companies in the Computers & Peripherals and Office Electronics sector.
Acer also earned a spot in the top 10% of companies featured in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, which evaluates over 9,200 firms worldwide with just 848 selected. The recognition highlights Acer’s ongoing efforts in sustainable governance, information disclosure, and operational management. The DJBIC World Index and Sustainability Yearbook are based on long-term economic, environmental, and social criteria assessed through S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment.
In 2025, Acer reported significant progress in its environmental sustainability initiatives, including a 21% use of post-consumer recycled plastics in computers and monitors. The company expanded renewable energy use across its operations to 60% and increased the number of key suppliers committing to RE100 or setting Science Based Targets to 81%. These milestones reflect Acer’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency within its supply chain and production processes.
Acer further advanced its sustainability goals by introducing electric trucks in Europe in 2025 and collaborating with logistics partners to develop sustainable marine and aviation fuel solutions. The company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts have continued to receive international recognition, reinforcing its position as a leader in sustainable technology and corporate responsibility.
