Acer Listed on 2026 Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index
Acer has been included in the 2026 Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index for the second time, ranking among only four companies in its industry, following strong performance in sustainability and governance metrics.
Acer Inc. announced its inclusion in the 2026 Dow Jones Best-in-Class (DJBIC) World Index, a recognition reserved for global sustainability leaders identified by S&P Global. The company achieved full marks in Transparency & Reporting, Policy Influence, Energy, and Customer Relationship Management, placing it among the top 10% of the largest 2,500 companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index. This marks Acer’s second consecutive inclusion in the index, highlighting its sustained efforts in sustainable governance and operational transparency.
Acer was also named among the top 10% of companies in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, which evaluates over 9,200 firms worldwide. The DJBIC World Index and Sustainability Yearbook selections are based on long-term economic, environmental, and social criteria assessed through S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment. Acer’s recognition underscores its progress in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions, reflecting concrete actions rather than isolated achievements.
The company has made measurable strides in reducing its environmental footprint, including increasing the use of post-consumer recycled plastics in products to 21% in 2025. Renewable energy adoption across the Acer Group reached 60%, while 81% of key suppliers committed to RE100 or set Science Based Targets (SBTs). These efforts align with Acer’s broader low-carbon transition strategy, which includes deploying electric trucks in Europe and collaborating on sustainable fuel solutions for marine and aviation logistics.
