AGCO Brings Fendt and Massey Ferguson Machinery to SquadBuilt
AGCO will feature licensed Fendt and Massey Ferguson machinery in the free mobile farming simulation game 'American Farming 2,' launching Aug. 24, to engage new audiences in modern agriculture.
AGCO Corporation announced that its Fendt and Massey Ferguson brands will appear in 'American Farming 2,' a free-to-play mobile farming simulation game developed by SquadBuilt Inc. The sequel to the original 'American Farming' game launches on Aug. 24, allowing players to operate virtual versions of real AGCO equipment across an Iowa-inspired landscape. The collaboration aligns with AGCO’s strategy to connect with younger and digital-first audiences through gaming platforms. Players can use six tractor models at launch, including Fendt 1038, 1046, and 1050, as well as Massey Ferguson MF8130, MF8140, and MF8150.
The in-game machinery operates realistically, reflecting how the equipment functions in actual farming operations, from planting to harvest. AGCO’s Senior Brand Manager for Fendt North America, Brandon Montgomery, highlighted the dual appeal: farmers recognize the equipment, while others gain hands-on exposure to modern agriculture. The game is designed for both lifelong farmers and newcomers, offering multiplayer modes and customization options. AGCO will showcase the equipment at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, from Sept. 1–3.
SquadBuilt Inc., the game’s developer, is led by Grant Hilbert, a first-generation farmer and content creator who aims to educate players about food production. Hilbert emphasized that incorporating AGCO’s trusted machinery enhances the game’s authenticity, allowing players to experience farming firsthand. The free download will be available on the App Store and Google Play starting Aug. 24. Additional AGCO equipment is planned for future updates, expanding the virtual farming experience.
AGCO, a global leader in agricultural machinery, markets its equipment under brands including Fendt, Massey Ferguson, PTx, and Valtra.
