AGCO unveiled a new hydraulic singulation chute for the Massey Ferguson SB.1436DB small square baler at the 2026 Farm Progress Show. The system places two bales into a single straight row, reducing the number of collection passes needed compared to a double-wide chute. This design aims to save time, fuel, and labor during critical harvest periods for commercial hay producers.

The MF SB.1436DB already produces two 14-by-18-inch bales simultaneously, enhancing productivity. The new chute maintains this efficiency by positioning both bales in a single row for easier collection. A hydraulic system advances one bale followed by the second, ensuring consistent placement without additional passes.

The singulation chute features adjustable paddles to accommodate different bale lengths and control bale advancement timing. It connects to the baler’s hydraulic pump with only one additional hose from the tractor for raising and lowering. A patent-pending trailing design with caster wheels and suspension allows the chute to follow uneven field terrain.

Serviceability was a key focus in the design, with hydraulic lifting providing access for maintenance underneath. Spliced conveyor belts add convenience for operators. For transport, the chute can be hydraulically raised and locked into position, ensuring stability during transit.
