This update affects Geocode, ReverseGeocode, GetPlace, Suggest, Autocomplete, SearchNearby, and SearchText APIs, providing greater flexibility in how address data is presented to end users. A new AddressTranslations parameter now returns place name translations in over 50 languages, enabling developers to build multilingual applications more efficiently. The TravelMode parameter optimizes search results for users in transit, prioritizing relevance for navigation and in-vehicle use cases. Additionally, the DriveThrough attribute has been added to GetPlace, Suggest, SearchNearby, and SearchText APIs, indicating whether a location offers drive-through services, which benefits logistics and delivery applications.

The Geocode API now includes a Parsing.AdditionalInfo response field, providing deeper insight into how input addresses were interpreted during processing. This enhancement helps developers debug and refine address parsing logic, ensuring more reliable geocoding results. The updates collectively aim to improve the precision and usability of location-based services for developers.

Amazon Location Service is available in multiple AWS Regions, including US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), Europe (Frankfurt), and Asia Pacific (Tokyo), among others.
