Amazon Quick agentic AI capabilities are now available in AWS GovCloud (US-West)
AWS has launched Amazon Quick’s agentic AI features in AWS GovCloud (US-West), a FedRAMP High-authorized environment for U.S. government and regulated industries.
Amazon Quick’s agentic AI capabilities are now accessible in AWS GovCloud (US-West), a region designed for sensitive workloads and strict compliance. The service enables teams to convert queries into actionable tasks, streamlining mission-critical decisions without leaving their workflows. Custom chat agents can be built for specific tasks such as procurement, compliance, and grants management, with all data processed and stored within the isolated AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region. Access controls are enforced through Spaces, which limit data exposure to authorized personnel based on mission or program needs.
The new capabilities integrate with existing tools like Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive via GCC High connectors, as well as browser extensions. This allows teams to leverage familiar applications while maintaining compliance with federal security standards. AWS GovCloud (US) Regions are operated by U.S. citizens on U.S. soil, meeting stringent requirements such as FedRAMP High, DoD SRG Impact Levels 4 and 5, ITAR, CJIS, and FIPS 140-3. Inference for authorized models occurs within the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region, ensuring data residency and security.
Amazon Quick’s agentic AI is now available in eight AWS Regions, including the newly added AWS GovCloud (US-West). The expansion follows existing deployments in US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Europe (Frankfurt, Ireland, London), and Asia Pacific (Sydney, Tokyo). Enterprise governance features are included at launch, providing organizations with tools to manage access and compliance from the outset. The service targets government agencies and regulated industries requiring high levels of data protection and operational efficiency.
AWS GovCloud (US-West) is the eighth region to host Amazon Quick’s agentic AI, reinforcing AWS’s commitment to secure, compliant cloud environments for sensitive workloads. The launch aligns with AWS’s ongoing efforts to support U.S. government and defense customers with isolated infrastructure and strict access controls. Teams can now deploy mission-specific AI assistants while adhering to federal security mandates, reducing the need for manual processes and improving decision-making speed.
