AWS Brazil has launched an automated workflow under the AWS Brazil 2P Distribution Program, enabling eligible non-Brazilian independent software vendors (ISVs) to authorize AWS Brazil to distribute their SaaS product licenses to customers in Brazil. The program allows ISVs to grant distribution rights through AWS Partner Central or public APIs, streamlining the process for local SaaS license distribution. AWS Brazil acts as the seller of record, managing all aspects of the transaction from invoicing to tax compliance.

Under the program, AWS Brazil invoices Brazilian customers in Brazilian Reais (BRL) and applies applicable Brazilian taxes automatically. The workflow includes automated calculation of withholding taxes, generation of invoices, and disbursement of payments to ISVs. ISVs can track transactions and payment statuses through the Seller Insights dashboard, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the distribution process.

Brazilian buyers receive private offers priced in USD but invoiced in BRL by AWS Brazil, using the exchange rate on the invoice date. Payment options include credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or Pay by Invoice (PBI), with the ability to add a purchase order number for record-keeping. Invoices are accessible through the AWS Billing Console, providing buyers with a centralized view of their transactions.

To participate, ISVs must agree to the Brazil 2P distribution terms and create distribution authorizations via AWS Partner Central or public APIs. AWS Brazil determines the buyer-facing price, generates invoices, and handles tax disbursements, while buyers interact with private offers and invoices in their preferred currency and payment method.
