Customer-facing teams often waste time manually reconstructing customer context from scattered tools like Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, and Slack before meetings or reviews. Atlassian’s new Teamwork Graph connector for Salesforce aims to address this by allowing teams to search and synthesize Salesforce data alongside Atlassian work records, enabling faster preparation and more informed decisions. The integration respects existing Salesforce permissions, ensuring users only access authorized information while connecting disparate customer records into a unified view. This reduces the need for manual tab-switching and cross-referencing during account calls or pipeline reviews.
The connector enables teams to ask aggregate questions across connected records, such as identifying accounts with open opportunities but unresolved support cases, rather than exporting and cross-referencing data manually. Rovo, Atlassian’s AI assistant, can synthesize answers from these records, providing a concise brief for meetings or calls. For example, a rep can request a summary for a customer call, including open opportunities, recent notes, and support issues, turning a fragmented prep workflow into a single query. This shift allows teams to focus more on customer conversations and less on data hunting.
Beyond finding context, Rovo agents can take action to keep CRM records current, reducing manual data entry. For instance, after a call recorded in Loom, an agent can transcribe the recording, extract key updates like next steps or deal stages, and propose changes to the Salesforce opportunity. Users review and approve the proposed updates before they are applied, ensuring accuracy and respecting permissions. This automation helps reps stay focused on customer interactions rather than administrative tasks, aligning with Atlassian’s goal of enabling teams to 'type less and sell more.'
The Salesforce connector is part of Atlassian’s broader Teamwork Graph initiative, which serves as a context layer connecting signals from tools like Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Salesforce. Admins control which Salesforce objects and fields are ingested, and the integration enforces data governance and privacy standards. Teamwork Graph syncs with Salesforce to reflect updates and deletions, while Rovo augments context by querying Salesforce’s MCP within user permissions. This post highlights Salesforce data discovery and agentic capabilities, with a follow-up planned to explore further automations and CRM maintenance features.
