Turn Slack conversations into connected context with Teamwork Graph
Atlassian’s Teamwork Graph connector for Slack integrates Slack conversations into Rovo, linking real-time discussions with project plans, decisions, and actions across Jira and Confluence.
Slack conversations often contain critical context about decisions, risks, and trade-offs that shape project plans and milestones. However, this information can become fragmented across channels and threads, making it hard to retrieve later, especially for team members not involved in the original discussion. The new Teamwork Graph connector for Slack addresses this by bringing Slack’s conversational context directly into Rovo, enabling users to search and act on Slack discussions alongside data from Jira, Confluence, and other tools.
The connector allows teams to trace the reasoning behind project decisions by connecting Slack conversations with documented plans. For example, if a launch plan states that an enterprise rollout will follow a self-serve launch, users can now find the Slack discussions that explain why this decision was made, including trade-offs and emerging roadblocks that may not be captured in the plan itself.
Teams can create custom Rovo Agents to monitor Slack conversations and compare them against project timelines, identifying discrepancies or risks in real time. If a Slack thread reveals a new issue, such as a latency problem, users can tag @Jira to convert the conversation into a Jira work item without leaving Slack, preserving the context that led to the action.
The integration also supports incident response workflows by connecting Jira Service Management with Slack. When a high-severity incident is declared, automations can create a dedicated Slack channel for triage, where Rovo Agents assist with root cause analysis, mitigation planning, and post-incident summaries, all while respecting Slack’s existing permission settings.
