The Bank of Canada has released its 2027 schedule for key policy announcements, including interest rate decisions and major reports, alongside confirmed dates for the remainder of 2026.
The Bank of Canada published its 2027 calendar for policy interest rate announcements and the quarterly Monetary Policy Report, along with reconfirmed dates for the remainder of 2026. All rate announcements will occur at 09:45 ET, with the Monetary Policy Report released simultaneously in January, April, July, and October. The schedule provides advance notice for stakeholders to align financial planning with the Bank’s policy cycles.
The Bank also released the 2027 schedule for the Business Outlook Survey and the Canadian Survey of Consumer Expectations, both set for 11:30 ET. These surveys gauge business and household sentiment, offering insights into economic conditions and expectations. The timing allows analysts and policymakers to incorporate findings into their assessments of the Canadian economy.
Additionally, the Financial Stability Report for 2027 is scheduled for Tuesday, May 18, at 10:00 ET. The report assesses risks to the financial system and evaluates vulnerabilities in key sectors. Its publication supports transparency and informs decisions by financial institutions and regulators.
The Bank of Canada emphasized that these schedules are designed to enhance predictability and transparency in its communications.
