Growth in the US and Europe, positive sales momen-tum driven by Neue Klasse models
BMW Group reported mixed sales in early 2026, with growth in Europe and the US offsetting declines in China and Asia-Pacific, driven by strong demand for Neue Klasse models.
The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.
BMW Group’s global vehicle deliveries fell 4.2% in the first half of 2026 to 1.15 million units, reflecting a 5.4% increase in Europe and 3.9% growth in the US. Jochen Goller, Board Member for Customer, Brands, Sales, highlighted positive momentum in these regions despite broader market challenges. The Neue Klasse lineup, including the BMW iX3 and upcoming BMW i3, contributed to this trend, with the iX3 nearing 100,000 new orders.
Fully-electric vehicle sales rose 5.2% in Q2 2026, totaling 116,807 units, driven by strong demand for the BMW iX3 in Europe. The model’s European deliveries surged 38% year-on-year to 81,445 units, securing BMW’s second-place ranking in Germany for electric vehicle registrations. The BMW brand delivered nearly one million vehicles globally in the first half, with growth in both Europe (+1.5%) and the US (+4.7%), particularly from X models.
MINI brand sales increased 11.7% year-on-year to 149,538 units, marking its sixth consecutive quarter of growth, primarily due to strong demand for its fully-electric models. Rolls-Royce delivered 2,523 vehicles in the first half of 2026, a 9.8% decline, while BMW Motorrad sold 102,847 motorcycles and scooters, down 2.9%. The provisional figures may adjust before the final 2026 report is published.
