Game Republic New Horizons expands speaker lineup with Housemarque and Bithell Games, while Nintendo hosts a developer-focused breakfast session during the Middlesbrough event.
Housemarque and Bithell Games have joined the speaker lineup for Game Republic New Horizons, adding sessions on visual effects design and studio insights. Housemarque’s VFX lead Robbert Groenendijk will discuss Saros’ visual effects implementation, while Bithell Games’ Mike Bithell shares details on the upcoming title Vampirium: 1997 in a fireside chat with Knowledge editor Patrick Garratt.
Nintendo will host a breakfast session for developers and publishers on October 15 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough. The session allows attendees to ask questions about working with Nintendo, development tools, publishing opportunities, and support resources, with no requirement to be registered Nintendo developers or publishers.
The event runs from October 14 to 16 and features a keynote from Ken Kutaragi, a fireside chat with Landfall Games CBO Rebecca Lautner, and sessions led by IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak on 007 First Light. Additional panels include AI in games assessments, investor-focused discussions, and sessions on international markets and Steam page creation.
Game Republic confirmed the Nintendo breakfast session is now fully subscribed. The event also includes masterclasses on narrative design and sessions with public funders such as the BFI, Arts Council, and Innovate UK, alongside Xbox and publisher panels.
