Garmin announces the Approach Z10 laser rangefinder
Garmin introduced the Approach Z10 laser rangefinder, priced at $299.99, offering precise yardage up to 350 yards with six-times magnification and weighing under 7 ounces.
Garmin has launched the Approach Z10, a compact laser rangefinder designed for golfers, priced at $299.99. The device measures distances to the pin with accuracy within one yard and offers six-times magnification. Weighing less than 7 ounces, it is smaller and lighter than most smartphones, making it portable for on-course use. The rangefinder integrates with Garmin’s Range Relay feature, transmitting measured distances to paired smartwatches, handhelds, or the Garmin Golf smartphone app.
The Range Relay feature displays a laser range arc on connected devices, showing distances to the front and back of the green as well as the pin. This allows golfers to quickly assess their position and plan shots accordingly. Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing, highlighted the device’s role in enhancing precision for club selection and shot strategy. The feature is compatible with Garmin’s golf ecosystem, including smartwatches and handhelds.
A Garmin Golf membership, available for $9.99 per month or $99.99 annually, provides additional features when using the Approach Z10. Members gain access to Green Contour Data, which shows the slope direction of greens on select courses. This data helps golfers predict ball release after pitching, identify optimal putting lines, and determine safer shot targets in challenging scenarios.
The Approach Z10 is available immediately, with more than 43,000 courses supported for aerial imagery via the Garmin Golf app. The app offers high-resolution views of holes, aiding in shot planning. The rangefinder’s suggested retail price is $299.99, and further details can be found at garmin.com/golf.
