Google Cloud Developer plugin now available in Antigravity Marketplace
Google Cloud released a plugin for Antigravity Marketplace to help coding agents build safely on Google Cloud by grounding them in live documentation and enforcing guardrails.
Google Cloud has launched the google-cloud-developer plugin in the Antigravity Marketplace’s Build with Google section, addressing issues where autonomous coding agents previously struggled with outdated syntax, invalid commands, or unauthorized resource provisioning. The plugin provides foundational skills, safety controls, and live documentation access to reduce errors and unintended costs during cloud development. Installation is streamlined through the marketplace or CLI, with pre-authorized access to Google’s developer documentation eliminating the need for manual API key or OAuth token setup.
The plugin bundles a Developer Knowledge MCP server and curated skills to ensure agents use current Google Cloud documentation and enforce least-privilege IAM patterns. It includes safety guardrails that require explicit consent before enabling billable APIs or modifying infrastructure, while also inspecting local environments to design safe execution paths. Environment awareness helps agents avoid destructive operations by validating CLI configurations and command syntax before execution.
A dynamic skill routing system allows agents to discover and load specialized capabilities on demand from Google’s public skills repository, rather than relying on a fixed set of preloaded skills. This approach keeps the agent’s context window efficient by fetching only the required guidance for specific tasks, such as authentication patterns or project onboarding, when prompted. The routing rule, defined in google-cloud-discovery.md, activates specialized skills automatically when a user’s query touches relevant topics.
After installation, agents can query the pre-authorized Developer Knowledge MCP server for real-time answers grounded in official Google Cloud documentation. For example, an agent can accurately compare services like GKE and Cloud Run without outdated or speculative responses, as the plugin ensures access to the latest official guidance. The plugin is available via the Antigravity Marketplace UI or CLI, with source code and skills accessible on GitHub for further exploration.
