The device uses the Find Hub network for precise location tracking and offers a one-year battery life. It is water-resistant and durable, with a stainless steel build. Pricing starts at $29 for a single tag or $99 for a 4-pack, available at the Google Store.
The Pixel Tag connects to Android devices running Android 9 or newer via Fast Pair. Users can ring the tag to locate it or view its position on a map in the Find Hub app. The tag features a speaker for sound alerts and a button to ring the user’s phone in reverse. It supports Ultra-Wideband with Bluetooth Channel Sounding for precision finding, including visual distance and directional cues.
The Find Hub app allows users to name tags, share access with up to 10 people, and enable Left Behind alerts to prevent misplacing items. If the tag is out of range, the network of over one billion Android devices helps locate it securely using end-to-end encrypted location data. The tag also integrates with Pixel Watch and Pixel Buds for additional convenience.
The Pixel Tag will be available starting November 11, with a single unit priced at $29 or a 4-pack at $99. It requires a compatible Android device with Bluetooth 6.0 or newer and Ultra-Wideband support. The device complies with IP67 water and dust resistance standards but is not drop-proof.
