More ways to connect with the web from Search

A new dedicated section will prominently display official links when only one or two authoritative sources exist for a specific task or information need. Each link will include context explaining its relevance, helping users quickly identify the most useful resources. This builds on existing practices of highlighting primary sources at the top of search results.

Timely article carousels, currently available in select locations, are being expanded globally and across more languages. These carousels will also prioritize Preferred Sources, making it simpler to find trusted coverage on current events. The feature increases the visibility of up-to-date articles for a broader range of search queries.

Clickable creator and publisher names are being tested in video results, linking directly to their Search profiles for additional context about their work. These profiles provide background on creators and their broader content, helping users evaluate sources more effectively. Eligible creators can learn how to set up their profiles to benefit from this feature.
