Google announced the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, a foldable smartphone that is nearly 10% lighter and about 1mm thinner than its predecessor, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The device features a new 48MP main camera and telephoto lens with up to 30x Super Zoom, alongside a redesigned camera bar called HiLight, which uses LED lights to display notifications such as incoming calls or messages from favorite contacts. The phone also introduces AI tools, including a sign language translation feature. Pre-orders begin immediately, with availability starting August 20.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold includes several durability improvements, maintaining an IP68 dust and water resistance rating while enhancing crease performance on the inner display. Both the inner and outer screens are 20% brighter, reaching 3600 nits. The device supports faster charging, achieving 50% battery in approximately 30 minutes with 30W wired charging and 25W wireless charging via Qi2.2. Battery life is rated at over 24 hours under typical usage conditions.
The smartphone is powered by Google’s custom Tensor G6 chip and features 16GB of RAM, delivering improved performance optimized for AI-driven features like Gemini Intelligence. New multitasking tools include foldable-exclusive animations and optimized bubbles for app multitasking. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold also introduces Magic Capture and Camera Looks, enabling users to capture motion-based photos and apply customizable visual effects to images.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is available for pre-order today, with retail availability set for August 20. Google also introduced a new Pixel 11 Pro Fold case with an integrated hinge cover for added protection.
