How Hyundai Motor Group Is Winning Tomorrow’s Tech Talent by Showing Them the Future
Hyundai Motor Group hosted its first U.S. Tech Talent Forum in Silicon Valley, blending live robotics and vehicle demos with career recruitment to attract engineers and technologists.
Hyundai Motor Group’s inaugural Tech Talent Forum in San Jose, California, merged a recruiting event with a technology showcase, featuring live demonstrations of robots, robotaxis, and hydrogen fuel cells alongside career counseling sessions. The two-day event, held under the theme 'Go Beyond Together,' was organized by nine Group affiliates and drew roughly 380 attendees from North America.
Four Group leaders delivered a relay-style keynote addressing the question 'why Hyundai?' from business strategy, engineering, physical AI, and recruitment perspectives, emphasizing the company’s shift toward technology and physical AI development. Executives highlighted the Group’s scale, financial capacity, and ambition to lead in areas such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, and software-defined vehicles.
A Leaders Panel Talk explored how physical AI and other core technologies are being applied to mobility, manufacturing, and robotics, with a focus on the 'data flywheel' cycle as a key differentiator for future AI leadership. The session included discussions on real-world implementations and career opportunities, followed by a Q&A with Group leaders.
The Forum featured six technical sessions and an exhibition showcasing innovations like Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot, Motional’s IONIQ 5 Robotaxi, and Hyundai’s CODA E&E architecture, alongside on-site interviews and career conversations for participants in the HMG Global Tech Talent Recruitment program.
