How the Copilot Creators Collective is shaping the future of creativity and AI literacy
Microsoft’s Copilot Creators Collective in the Philippines has spent its first year turning AI literacy into practical, community-led learning through trusted creators, reaching classrooms, workplaces, and regional initiatives.
A year ago, Microsoft launched the Copilot Creators Collective in the Philippines to explore how creativity, community, and AI could work together. The initiative brought together Filipino creators to use Microsoft Copilot in their work and translate AI into relatable stories and learning moments for broader audiences. Members demonstrated how Copilot supports real-life tasks in work, education, and creativity, making AI feel practical rather than abstract.
The Collective’s impact extended across learning spaces, workplace discussions, and regional programs like the YSEALI Bootcamp for Digital Creators, where members shared how Microsoft 365 and Copilot aid productivity and responsible experimentation. At the bootcamp, 81 attendees from multiple Southeast Asian nations participated, with CCC members highlighting Copilot’s role in content creation and digital storytelling.
In Microsoft’s Work Trend Index campaign, creator Trixie Esguerra-Bugia made AI adoption more approachable for professionals by showing how Copilot organizes shot lists, refines outlines, and acts as a digital assistant for one-person teams. Meanwhile, educators Alvin Santos and Reb Atadero partnered with the Department of Education to train 2,002 teachers and reach 3,431 students across eight regions using Copilot Chat and Reading Progress.
The Collective also demonstrated AI’s behind-the-scenes value, with members like Ceej Tantengco-Malolos using Copilot to plan an art exhibit and Buji Babiera gathering global themes for local storytelling under tight deadlines. Others, such as Abi Maravilla and Andi Lopez, described Copilot as a tool to simplify complexity and organize ideas, supporting tasks like marketing pitch decks and esports data analysis.
