What if everything changes tomorrow? A Canadian company is using AI to help businesses navigate supply chain uncertainty
Canadian firm Kinaxis unveiled Maestro, an AI-driven platform helping businesses adapt supply chains amid global disruptions like conflicts and tariffs through real-time scenario modeling.
Global conflicts, shifting tariffs, and trade disruptions are forcing companies to rethink supply chain management, as disruptions in one region can rapidly impact factories, suppliers, and customer demand. Kinaxis, a Canada-based company, aims to address this challenge with its Maestro platform, which uses predictive AI and scenario modeling to help businesses forecast demand and adjust plans in real time. The platform is designed to enhance adaptability and agility, according to Razat Gaurav, Kinaxis’ CEO.
The Maestro platform integrates data from across a company, including sales orders, production capacity, and inventory, alongside external signals like weather and market shifts. This comprehensive approach allows businesses to test scenarios and respond to disruptions such as shortages or tariffs. The tool is utilized by global companies across industries, including automakers, technology firms, energy, and shipping leaders.
Kinaxis reports that customers have increased scenario modeling by over 120% since the Strait of Hormuz conflict began, reflecting heightened demand for adaptable supply chain solutions. The platform’s agentic AI capabilities enable businesses to simulate potential impacts of disruptions and adjust strategies accordingly, providing a critical layer of resilience.
The shift in supply chain management reflects a broader global trend, where stable assumptions are no longer sufficient. Maestro serves as an orchestration platform for end-to-end supply chain management, helping businesses navigate constant change by combining internal and external data sources for informed decision-making.
