Mistral AI has launched enriched admin controls allowing organizations to manage connector access at the workspace or organizational level, including the ability to enable or disable individual tools within connectors. These controls operate alongside existing platform permissions to ensure automated workflows adhere to enterprise governance policies. The feature is now generally available in Mistral Studio and Vibe.

New API keys with connector-scoped permissions prevent automated AI workloads from impersonating users, instead running under defined service accounts or user identities. Multi-account connectors further support this by enabling a single connector to switch between personal and work accounts for different tasks, with each account’s credentials managed and refreshed independently.

The Connectors Debugger provides root cause analysis for broken connections by testing 11 steps in the authentication and session establishment process, including OAuth token exchanges. This tool logs each step to pinpoint failures, replacing manual troubleshooting with precise diagnostics. It is now available for use with MCP server URLs and OAuth credentials.

Connectors in Workflows and Vibe Code integrate governed access into automated processes and coding tasks. Workflows can declare required connectors and accounts upfront, preventing mid-run failures due to expired tokens, while Vibe Code allows developers to select approved connectors and tools directly within the coding interface. Over 60 pre-built connectors are supported, with custom MCP options for additional platforms.
