He has held harbourmaster roles in the Bay of Plenty and Western Australia, demonstrating hands-on maritime operational expertise. His tenure as Chief Executive of Northport spanned 19 years, providing deep insight into port management and industry challenges.
Maritime NZ stated Moore’s appointment will strengthen oversight of maritime safety, security, and environmental protection.
