HSP GRUPPE, a network of independent tax advisory, auditing, and law firms, has embedded ChatGPT Enterprise across its operations to enhance tax advisory, legal research, client communication, and financial analysis. The deployment covers 81 organizational groups within the network and HSP’s shared workspace with Kanzleipakt. The firm prioritized organizational transformation over software rollout, focusing on adoption, governance, and continuous learning through monthly AI forums and adherence to internal data protection standards.
Professionals at HSP quickly adopted AI tools, with leadership standardizing successful use cases into shared Agents such as AI Client Communication and the Booking Assistant SKR03 & SKR04. These tools assist with drafting, structuring, and classification while ensuring professional review and final responsibility remain with specialists. The goal is to reduce repetitive tasks and disseminate best practices across the network, enabling employees to focus more on advisory work and client service.
Early results show measurable efficiency gains, such as a reduction in real estate investment evaluation time from nine hours to two for Partner Magdalene Posnak. Managing Partner Frank Heibel uses ChatGPT as a technical sparring partner for complex tax questions, while lawyer Jan-Henrik Leifelt employs it to strengthen professional judgment. The firm emphasizes that time saved is redirected toward higher-value client work and advisory capacity rather than reducing headcount.
HSP is now piloting ChatGPT Work to explore agentic AI capabilities for automating complex workflows, starting with a small group of developers and administrators. The firm plans to establish a joint DATEV-centric AI team with Kanzleipakt to evaluate decentralized experiments and develop scalable reference workflows. The long-term vision includes AI orchestrating entire processes, such as proactively identifying missing information during bookkeeping to streamline year-end accounting.
