The decision was framed as a precaution to ensure safe travel home for all participants. The showfloor will remain open on Sunday, September 20, though adjustments may be made based on conditions.
Typhoon Dujuan is the 25th named storm of 2026 and is forecasted to bring nearly 16 inches of rainfall to the Kanto region, which includes Tokyo. The Japan Times reported that the storm’s intensity prompted Nippon Airways to cancel numerous flights in the area, while East Japan Railway announced partial and full suspensions on several rail lines. These disruptions raised concerns about access to and from the event venue.
Organizers did not specify how they would address exhibitors and publishers who had secured space for the canceled Monday session.
