The Saros: Zenith update out today, brings more ways to play for newcomers and veterans alike
The Saros: Zenith update introduces new gameplay modes, modifiers, and accessibility features for all owners at no extra cost starting October 19.
The free Saros: Zenith update adds Boss Rush mode, New Game+, and expanded Carcosan Modifiers to enhance replayability for veterans and newcomers alike. Players can now adjust difficulty through 10 new Protection Modifiers, which ease challenges without altering core combat, and 10 new Trial Modifiers to increase difficulty. These tools allow customization of gameplay to suit individual preferences and skill levels.
New accessibility features include a slow-motion toggle for combat reactions and an Auto-fire option for sustained weapon use, alongside existing Motion Sensor Aiming and button remapping. These settings aim to reduce barriers for players who find precise inputs or rapid button presses difficult, while preserving skill-based mechanics like manual reloading.
Eclipse Layers, a New Game+ mode, introduces altered rules and a loadout system requiring specific Modifier combinations to progress. Players unlock nodes in the Armor Matrix to access these layers, where defeating enemies grants a glowing golden Crown that grows with difficulty. The Crown also reveals hidden story texts called Visions, adding narrative depth to higher difficulty tiers.
Overlord Rush mode offers a competitive training simulation with leaderboards, featuring three sets of Overlords for quick sessions and a final Totality set with all eight Overlords. Players can compare scores globally and filter results by Main Weapon, allowing specialization-based competition among friends and the broader community.
