Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has received its most substantial update in two years, adding Dual Fusion booster packs that introduce cards with multiple types to the competitive scene. The update also overhauls solo battles and missions, refreshing the gameplay experience for returning players. The headline feature, Community Decks, addresses a longstanding challenge by providing a ranked list of the 20 most popular decks directly within the Battle menu. Players can view the full card composition of each deck and immediately see if they own the necessary cards to build it.

The feature streamlines deckbuilding by allowing players to clone and edit any listed deck with a single click, then save their customized version. A visual indicator shows exactly how many cards are missing, and clicking a card reveals its details. This eliminates the guesswork for players who struggle to construct competitive decks from scratch. The update also includes a Friends tab, enabling players to view and clone decks used by their contacts, fostering strategy sharing and collaboration.

While the introduction of Community Decks may lead to repetitive matchups online as players adopt the same top-tier decks, the feature offers a pathway to counterbalance this. Players can identify overused strategies and develop counters, such as opting for water decks over fire-based ones to gain an edge. The update aims to make competitive play more accessible while encouraging creative deckbuilding beyond the meta.

For regular players, the update provides a meaningful refresh to a game that can otherwise feel repetitive. The combination of Community Decks, solo battle overhauls, and new Dual Fusion packs injects fresh motivation to experiment with deckbuilding and revisit the game. The addition of visually appealing cards in the new packs further enhances the appeal for collectors and competitive players alike.
