Samsung has introduced Health Assistant in beta for eligible users in the U.S., marking the first fully integrated AI-powered personal health assistant within Samsung Health. The tool consolidates data from the app’s five wellness pillars to generate actionable insights, aligning with Samsung’s Connected Care strategy to bridge daily monitoring with personalized guidance and early detection opportunities. Health Assistant provides users with an Energy Score and tailored recommendations directly in the Samsung Health app. The feature is available on Android phones running version 11 or higher, requiring the Samsung Health app version 6.27 or later and a Samsung Account login. Service availability varies by country, region, or language, and users must sync data from a Samsung Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring to access the score.
To calculate the Energy Score, Health Assistant requires at least the previous day’s activity data, sleep data, and heart rate data recorded during sleep. The tool aggregates these inputs to produce a single metric reflecting overall wellness, though it does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.
Samsung emphasizes that Health Assistant is designed to support users in understanding their health data rather than replacing professional medical consultation. The beta phase will allow Samsung to refine the AI’s recommendations based on real-world usage before a potential wider release.
