Samsung AI Assistant is an integrated application designed for Samsung Interactive Displays running on Android, providing teachers with AI-driven tools to support lesson planning and delivery. The app includes features such as Live Transcript, Circle to Search, AI Quiz, and My Lessons, which aim to streamline instruction, enhance accessibility, and review student comprehension. These tools are intended to reduce the administrative burden on educators by automating tasks like transcription and quiz generation while integrating supplementary resources directly into lessons.

Live Transcript converts spoken instruction into real-time text displayed on the screen, improving accessibility for students who struggle with auditory learning or are seated farther away. The feature allows customization of language, font size, and screen position, and can be shared with students via Samsung’s screen-sharing app, enabling them to follow along on their own devices. Educators like Grant Wilson of STS Education have noted that students increasingly rely on transcripts for better understanding, and the shared transcript feature ensures all students have equal access to lesson content.

Circle to Search enables teachers to quickly find and integrate additional learning materials by circling images or text on the display, which then generates related search results. Teachers can add these results directly to the whiteboard, facilitating real-time expansion of lesson topics with diverse examples. AI Quiz generates quizzes based on lesson transcripts and uploaded materials, helping teachers assess student understanding in alignment with classroom content. Students can participate via QR codes or links, and teachers can review answers in real time, providing immediate feedback. The My Lessons feature automatically saves voice-recorded lessons, including transcripts and AI-generated summaries, for future reference or sharing.
