JinkoSolar has launched the Tiger Neo 5.0, a 510-watt all-black residential solar module using its new TAC technology, which integrates TOPCon and HJT. The 48-cell module achieves a module efficiency of 25.52%, surpassing conventional back-contact modules in both power output and visual appeal. Its deeper, uniform black finish is designed to blend seamlessly with dark-colored rooftops, catering to premium residential installations. The module’s temperature coefficient of -0.24%/℃ ensures stronger energy yield in high-temperature environments compared to standard products.

The Tiger Neo 5.0 incorporates semiconductor-grade low- and high-temperature processes to optimize performance, reducing the power temperature coefficient. Its TAC technology combines TOPCon’s carrier transport with HJT’s low-temperature processing and passivation, achieving a peak cell efficiency of 28%. This places it near the theoretical limit for monocrystalline silicon cells, enhancing overall module efficiency and reliability.

At the module level, the Tiger Neo 5.0 features a zero-gap cell layout and hidden-ribbon technology, contributing to its 25.52% efficiency. Compared to conventional back-contact products, it delivers approximately 30 watts more power while maintaining a lower temperature coefficient, improving energy output in real-world conditions.

JinkoSolar’s CEO, Charlie Cao, emphasized the module’s tailored design for premium residential rooftops, highlighting innovations in cell technology, passivation, structural design, and interconnections. The company aims to advance industry solutions that address specific application needs, positioning the Tiger Neo 5.0 as a standout in the residential solar market.
