Vercel Connect now supports CLI setup for 100+ connectors

Vercel Connect now allows users to configure more than 100 connectors directly from the command-line interface, streamlining the integration process for services such as databases, APIs, and cloud platforms. The CLI automates steps like pre-populating service details—including brand names, icons, authentication types, and URLs—before prompting for any required credentials. This replaces the prior method, where only select services could be set up in the terminal while others required manual dashboard configuration. The update aims to reduce setup time and minimize manual errors during connector creation.

After a connector is created, developers can retrieve a short-lived, scoped token using the service’s unique identifier (UID) with the getToken command, facilitating secure access to the integrated service. The CLI reference and connectors directory provide documentation and available options, ensuring users can explore and configure integrations without leaving the terminal. This change applies to all Vercel plans, including those in beta, where features may evolve before general availability.

The announcement follows Vercel’s broader push to enhance developer workflows by consolidating tooling within the CLI, reducing reliance on external dashboards for routine tasks. By expanding CLI support for connectors, Vercel addresses a common pain point for teams managing multiple integrations across projects.
