Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite on AI Gateway
xAI’s lightweight Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite model is now accessible via Vercel’s AI Gateway, enabling text-to-video and image-to-video generation with native audio in multiple resolutions and aspect ratios.
Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite from xAI has been added to Vercel’s AI Gateway, allowing developers to generate short videos from text prompts or still images with synchronized audio. The model supports output lengths between one and fifteen seconds and delivers video in 480p, 720p, and 1080p resolutions. Seven aspect ratios are available, including widescreen, square, and portrait formats, enabling flexible use cases such as social media clips or vertical content.
To begin using the model, developers can specify spacexai/grok-imagine-video-1.5-lite in the AI SDK or AI CLI, integrating it into existing workflows. The model can also be chained with an image model to generate a still image and animate it in a single process, streamlining content creation pipelines.
The integration is available directly in the AI Gateway Playground, where users can test the model without writing code. AI Gateway consolidates access to multiple models under one API, simplifying billing, usage tracking, and infrastructure management for development teams.
AI Gateway supports both its own API keys and third-party provider keys, giving teams the option to use existing credentials or adopt Vercel’s unified interface. The service also handles routing, retries, and failover, reducing operational overhead for production deployments.
