Laya decision model now available on AI Gateway, free through October 31

Vercel’s AI Gateway has added the Laya decision model from Convai Innovations, available at no cost through October 31, 2026. The model evaluates shared context against yes/no, choice, or scoring questions and returns structured answers with probabilities. Developers can use it for tasks like triaging support requests, routing agent workflows, or checking guardrails for policy violations.

Laya can be accessed via the AI SDK evaluation API, a native HTTP API, or a TypeSafe-compatible API using the identifiers convaiinnovations/laya or convaiinnovations/laya-free. The -free variant routes through Boundless and will stop serving after the promotional period, while the standard variant will begin billing at that time.

AI Gateway consolidates model access, usage tracking, and cost management into a single API for routing, retries, and failover. Users can authenticate with an AI Gateway API key or their own provider key to call models. The service supports both evaluation and production workloads through a unified interface.
