Survive Together in the Strange Worlds: Once Human (F2P) Is Available Now on XBOX Series X|S With Game Pass!
Once Human, a free-to-play survival shooter, launches on Xbox Series X|S with Game Pass, featuring cross-play, cross-progression, and exclusive membership perks.
Once Human, a free-to-play survival shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world altered by the cosmic entity Stardust, is now available on Xbox Series X|S. The game supports cross-play and cross-progression, allowing players to team up regardless of platform, while Xbox Play Anywhere ensures access across devices. The title remains committed to a fair experience without pay-to-win mechanics, aligning with Xbox’s emphasis on accessible, inclusive gameplay.
The game’s visual identity draws from the New Weird genre, blending fantasy, science fiction, and horror to create surreal environments. Creatures like the Devourer and Wanderer transform ordinary objects into grotesque anomalies, while environments such as the Stardust Pollution Zones and Dream Zone mutate reality. Players can tame Deviations to assist in combat and survival, adding a unique twist to traditional crafting mechanics.
Once Human has been optimized for Xbox Series X|S, delivering 4K resolution and seamless controller integration. A first-person perspective mode is now available on consoles, allowing players to toggle dynamically between perspectives. Xbox Game Pass members receive exclusive perks, including an avatar, METAPASS Benefit Card, discount vouchers, and Battle Pass XP cards, alongside free monthly outfit updates.
The game currently offers over 300 hours of content, with a major October update introducing the Ocean Expansion. This update adds islands, ocean surfaces, and deep-sea environments, featuring lighthouses, ghost ships, and mechanical behemoths. Players can build a Sea Fortress, evolving from a wooden raft to a mobile sanctuary, expanding the game’s survival and exploration scope.
