YouTube Music launches Avenues 2.0 series
YouTube Music expands its Avenues program with a new 2.0 series, offering mentorship and resources to emerging artists in underrepresented markets through online sessions led by industry advisors.
YouTube Music has introduced Avenues 2.0, an updated educational initiative aimed at supporting emerging artists from underrepresented and underserved communities. The program builds on the original Avenues series, which previously involved in-person workshops in cities such as Philadelphia, Detroit, Houston, and London. The new iteration shifts focus to digital accessibility, allowing artists worldwide to participate in online sessions and gain industry insights. Hosted by YouTube Cultural Advisor Wallo267 and YouTube partner managers, the series provides practical guidance for artists at various career stages.
The Avenues 2.0 series features sessions tailored to different creative approaches, including Shorts, long-form visual storytelling, and live fan interactions. Each session is designed to help artists develop sustainable business strategies while leveraging YouTube’s platform. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, with mentors sharing tools and techniques to navigate the music industry. Participants are encouraged to engage with the content and apply lessons to their own artistic projects.
To extend the program’s reach, YouTube is offering a network of over 1,000 Avenues alumni for mentorship and collaboration. Artists can connect with peers and industry professionals to build lasting relationships and opportunities. The initiative also includes an official YouTube Masterclass, providing structured learning paths for participants seeking deeper development. Registration for the Masterclass is open to all interested artists.
The full season of Avenues 2.0 is available on YouTube, offering free access to all sessions and resources. The series reflects YouTube’s commitment to fostering talent in diverse markets by removing barriers to education and industry access. Artists are invited to watch the sessions, join the alumni network, and enroll in the Masterclass to advance their careers.
