The initiative aims to strengthen safeguarding measures and foster community development through structured partnerships. The meeting emphasized aligning social responsibility goals with global standards to ensure sustainable impact across member associations.
The AFC Dream Asia Foundation’s Board of Trustees approved four landmark initiatives during its fifth meeting in Nagoya, Japan, reaffirming its commitment to expanding social development efforts. These initiatives focus on enhancing educational opportunities, health programs, and youth empowerment across the AFC’s member countries. The decisions reflect a strategic push to integrate social responsibility into the Confederation’s core operations.
The AFC Medical Committee announced advancements in sports science, including recommending the Vietnam Football Federation as host for the 2027 AFC Medical Conference. New safety heading protocols for children were also introduced to prioritize player welfare and reduce concussion risks. The committee’s recommendations aim to set regional benchmarks for medical standards in football across Asia.
With 100 days remaining until the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™, the Organising Committee highlighted major operational milestones achieved in preparation for the tournament.
