Amazon Web Services announced price reductions for two OpenAI models on its Bedrock platform, effective July 30, 2026. On-demand inference for GPT‑5.6 Luna will drop by 80%, while GPT‑5.6 Terra prices will fall by 20%. These adjustments mirror OpenAI’s own pricing updates for the same models. GPT‑5.6 Sol will retain its existing pricing. The changes apply automatically without customer intervention.

GPT‑5.6 Luna is designed for high-volume, tool-enabled workflows such as content processing, classification, and customer-service automation. GPT‑5.6 Terra targets everyday production workloads requiring stronger reasoning while balancing speed and cost.
