AWS Console-to-Code adds 26 services and cross-region recording​

AWS Console-to-Code has expanded to support 26 more services, bringing the total to 32, enabling developers and engineers to convert manual console workflows into reusable infrastructure as code (IaC). The update simplifies automating cloud infrastructure by capturing console actions and generating corresponding code templates. Previously limited to single-region workflows, the tool now consolidates actions across regions and browser tabs into one unified list. This change allows users to document and automate complex, multi-region deployments without losing context or restarting recordings.

The new cross-region and cross-browser-tab recording feature addresses a key limitation where switching regions or tabs would fragment or reset recorded actions. Now, actions performed in different regions or browser tabs are automatically merged into a single, continuous sequence. This improvement streamlines the process of capturing multi-step workflows that span multiple AWS environments, reducing manual effort and potential errors in IaC generation.

Starting today, the enhanced Console-to-Code functionality is available in all commercial AWS Regions, covering all 32 supported services and the new cross-region recording capability. Customers can immediately begin using the tool to automate their infrastructure deployments without additional setup or regional restrictions. The feature is designed to support both new and existing users in standardizing their cloud operations through IaC.
