ASUS Announces ExpertBook A7 (14" AMD)

ASUS has introduced the ExpertBook A7 (14" AMD), a new laptop designed for professionals who prioritize mobility and durability. The device features a seamless all-metal unibody chassis crafted from 6000-series aluminum alloy, achieving a thickness of just 1cm and a starting weight of 1.2kg. Its precision-milled construction reduces visible gaps to 0.05mm, enhancing both aesthetics and structural integrity. The laptop is available in Lunar Silver and Eclipse Black finishes, each offering a refined, minimalist appearance suited for professional environments.

The ExpertBook A7 includes a 14-inch 3K OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering resolutions up to 2880x1800, 600 nits brightness, HDR support, and a 48-120Hz refresh rate. Connectivity options include dual USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type-C ports, a USB Type-A port, HDMI 2.1b, and a Kensington Nano Security Slot. The laptop also features a glass-surface haptic touchpad with up to 3X the precision of standard touchpads and a hinge designed for smooth one-handed operation with minimal screen wobble.

Powered by up to an AMD Ryzen AI 7 processor with up to 50 NPU TOPS, the ExpertBook A7 supports up to 16GB LPDDR5X memory and 512GB PCIe SSD storage. It includes ASUS ExpertCool thermal management, WiFi 6E connectivity, and a battery offering up to 21 hours of use. Fast-charging restores up to 50% capacity in 30 minutes, while Dolby Audio Premium and AI noise-canceling technology enhance multimedia and communication experiences.

Security is a key focus, with the laptop meeting NIST SP 800-193-compliant BIOS protection and Windows 11 Secured-core PC standards. It includes five years of BIOS and driver security updates, fingerprint sign-in with FIDO2 authentication, a discrete TPM 2.0 chip, and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability testing. The precision-milled aluminum chassis ensures long-term reliability, reinforcing the laptop’s suitability for demanding professional use.
