FCA bans senior manager for lack of honesty and integrity
The FCA has banned Howard Roland Duckett from financial services after the High Court found he lied repeatedly and fabricated evidence to avoid disqualification as a director.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has banned Howard Roland Duckett from working in financial services due to serious misconduct. Duckett, a former senior manager at Beauforce Corporation Limited, was disqualified as a company director for 10 years by the High Court. The court ruled he failed to maintain proper records and repeatedly lied, including falsely claiming a fictitious individual ran the business. Duckett also failed to disclose his disqualification to the FCA, which deemed his actions a deliberate attempt to evade accountability.
The FCA’s decision follows the High Court’s findings and reflects its commitment to upholding honesty and integrity in financial services. The regulator concluded that Duckett’s conduct warranted a ban from the industry, citing his elaborate deception and lack of transparency. The FCA’s action underscores the consequences of failing to meet regulatory standards, particularly for senior managers responsible for compliance and governance.
In November 2025, the FCA imposed restrictions on Beauforce Corporation Limited, prohibiting it from conducting regulated activities such as debt advice and debt management services. The firm was also ordered to cease accepting payments from consumers and return any funds held in its accounts. These measures aim to protect consumers from potential harm arising from the firm’s misconduct under Duckett’s leadership.
Consumers with active debt management plans through Beauforce Corporation Limited are advised to stop payments and seek alternative support. Free debt advice and management services are available via the MoneyHelper website. Individuals with concerns or those asked to make payments since 20 November 2025 should contact the FCA for further guidance or to report issues.
