Fireblocks introduces three new features—Transaction Timeout, Account Traffic Control, and Wallet Pools—to prevent stuck transactions from halting digital asset operations, improving reliability and reducing manual intervention.

Stuck transactions on blockchains like Ethereum can freeze entire queues of pending operations because transactions from the same account are processed sequentially by nonce. This creates bottlenecks for high-throughput systems such as exchanges or payment companies, where a single delay can stall withdrawals and settlements. Fireblocks addresses this by introducing Transaction Timeout, which automatically marks a transaction as failed if it does not broadcast within a user-defined window, allowing systems to retry immediately instead of waiting indefinitely.
Account Traffic Control monitors account health in real time and proactively alerts users when a transaction becomes stuck, providing diagnostic details and recommended actions such as fee boosting to resolve the issue. This replaces manual detection processes that previously required customer escalation, reducing resolution time from hours or days to minutes. The feature eliminates the need for users to build and maintain their own monitoring systems while offering actionable insights to operational teams.
Wallet Pools addresses the root cause of stuck transactions by enabling transactions to be routed through multiple vaults instead of relying on a single vault. Vaults are grouped and assessed for asset availability and health, with transactions distributed via a tiered round-robin algorithm. This ensures that if one vault’s nonce is stuck, subsequent transactions can proceed through a healthy vault, preventing systemic freezes and maintaining operational continuity.
Together, these capabilities—Transaction Timeout, Account Traffic Control, and Wallet Pools—reduce operational risk and support scaling without increasing support overhead.
