·
Anthropic-managed deployment of Claude models is now generally available on Google Cloud with day-zero access to new platform features.
·
Google-managed deployment provides VPC Service Controls, CMEK, and data residency in the U.S., EU, and APAC under existing customer agreements.
·
Both deployment options support models including Claude Fable 5.1, Sonnet 5.5, Haiku 5.5, and Opus 5.5 with unified Google Cloud billing.

Google Cloud has introduced a general availability option for Anthropic-managed deployment of Claude models, complementing its existing Google-managed deployment. Both options provide access to the same frontier models on day zero with identical pricing and Google Cloud billing. The distinction lies in the data processor and timing of new platform features, such as Claude Managed Agents (beta), skills, and code execution, which are available immediately on the Anthropic-managed option.

Under the Anthropic-managed deployment, Anthropic operates as the data processor on Google Cloud infrastructure using its own terms of service. Organizations authenticate via Google Cloud IAM, retain Cloud Audit Logging, and consolidate spending within their existing Google Cloud billing and eligible commitments. This option is designed for teams prioritizing rapid access to new platform features alongside Google Cloud’s security and compliance tools.

The Google-managed deployment continues to offer day-zero access to the latest Claude models while adhering to strict governance, compliance, and sovereignty requirements. Google Cloud acts as the data processor under existing customer agreements, providing features like VPC Service Controls, Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK), and data residency in the U.S., EU, and APAC. New platform features are integrated into this option over time as they become available.

Teams can access Anthropic’s latest models, including Claude Fable 5.1, Sonnet 5.5, Haiku 5.5, and Opus 5.5, across both deployment options. Native integrations with Google Cloud services such as BigQuery and Model Armor are supported, along with standard billing and eligible commitment drawdown. Developers benefit from Google Cloud IAM and Marketplace billing regardless of the chosen deployment method.
